Lynn Deane
Program Director

"I am the person who gets you the answers you need when no one else can…whether it’s good news, bad news, or even if you can’t get through to someone, I will work with my team to get you what you need."

As program director, Lynn Deane ensures that the team at MyNewSelf is of the “highest quality possible to ensure that patients have the best experience they can.” In addition to this, Lynn states, “I am the person who gets you the answers you need when no one else can…whether it’s good news, bad news, or even if you can’t get through to someone, I will work with my team to get you what you need.”

Lynn Deane – Former Counselor

A former counselor, Lynn feels a special empathy for people that allows her to connect with patients. “While we’re providing the tool, it’s the patient’s hard work that makes them successful.”

Lynn holds a masters in social work from Washington University, has held leadership positions in the education, health care and publishing fields, and has been director of the MyNewSelf program since 2011. She loves the opportunities her job gives her to help others and is amazed by the fact that she and the team are able to “make a difference in peoples’ lives every day.”

Though Lynn is eager to learn about healthy living from the team of professionals that surrounds her every day, she admits, “I know that for my skin, my weight, and everything that I need to drink more water, and it can be really hard to make myself drink enough.” She also admits that she has a liking for popcorn that she sometimes cannot resist. Though she is no longer able to go on the runs she so adores, Lynn stays active by walking and engaging in light exercise throughout the day. On this she states, “The older we get, the harder it is to lose or even control our weight…but I try to make the most of it.”
